Who we are

Trabreez is run by Ezekiel Omote in the United Kingdom, who is responsible for your data (the "controller"). Contact: [email protected].

The short version

Your most personal travel details stay on your phone. We only keep what's needed to back up and share your trips, we don't sell your data, and there are no ads or tracking.

Kept only on your phone

Travel documents, your Border Pass, diet and allergy details, emergency contacts, your passport country and expiry date, and your checklist and packing list. These are never uploaded. If you lose or reset your phone without a backup, they're gone, so use "Download my data" now and then.

Kept in your account (if you sign in)

Your name, email address, trips (places, plan, bookings you add, expenses), basic settings, group chat messages and photos, and records of the notices and terms you accepted. Stored by Supabase on servers in the EU (Frankfurt). Booking references, prices, seats and notes stay private to you even in a group trip.

Shared with your group

In a group trip, the people you invite see the shared plan and chat, and only the flight times, hotel name and booking status you choose to share.

Booking emails

Forwarding is for booking confirmations only (flights, hotels, trains, car hire). If you forward one to [email protected], our email helper (Cloudflare) holds the text and any PDF for your account only. The next time you open the app, it's moved onto your phone and deleted from our server straight away; anything not collected is deleted after 7 days. An email that looks like travel insurance is deleted, not kept. Please don't forward travel insurance, passports or ID: add insurance in Travel documents, which stays on your phone.

Feedback, error reports and mistake reports

If something breaks, a short technical report is sent (the error, app version, screen and phone type), never your trips or documents. Feedback and "Report a mistake" messages contain what you type, plus app version and phone type. Your email is only seen if you tick "you can reply to me".

Services that help the app work

To show maps, search places, plan routes, give weather and translate, the app sends only what's needed for that request (for example the place name you search, the map area, or the text you translate) to: OpenStreetMap services (Nominatim, Photon, Overpass), OSRM, Open-Meteo, Wikipedia and Wikimedia, Google Translate or Microsoft Translator, and government travel-advice sites. Cloudflare runs our helper and website. Supabase runs accounts and sync. These providers have their own privacy policies and may process data outside the UK and EU under their own safeguards.

Location

If you allow it, your location is used on your phone (for example to show where you are or warn you near an area to avoid). We don't store your location on our servers.

Links to other companies

Booking, eSIM and other links take you to that company's website or app. Some earn us a small commission; we don't send them your details. Their privacy policies apply once you're there.

Why we can use your data

To provide the app you asked for (your account, sync and group trips); our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and safe (error reports, abuse reports); and your consent where we ask for it (notifications, location, optional features). You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or your phone's settings.

How long we keep it

Account data stays until you delete it or your account. Booking emails: until your app collects them, and never more than 7 days. Error reports: deleted regularly, and kept no longer than 12 months. Records of what you accepted are kept while your account exists, and afterwards only as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can see, download and delete your data in the app (Settings → Your data), and correct it at any time. You can also ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Trabreez is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you in the app.
